Friday is the first round of playoffs for boys soccer. As of right now they are predicted to play away at Broughton. Last week Josh stretched his right AC joint. He is in a sling for 2 weeks. He goes back to the doctor soon to see if the AC joint is slowly moving back into place. Neil got his foot stepped on at the game on Tuesday, and had a large bruise.

Wednesday was senior night for the boys soccer team. Katie and I were surprised with being recognized with the other seniors. Coach Todd thanked us for working hard and going to away games without being asked. Katie started crying when we had to stand next to Mike, because his parents couldn't make it. Mike gave us his sunflowers, and Coach Todd presented us with brand new Apex Soccer windbreakers.
My sister completely tore her ACL. She was at rugby practice, and a larger girl tackled her in the drill. My sister's foot was planted on the ground, and her leg twisted. She said she felt a large popping sensation. After the practice, she couldn't straighten her leg completely. According to the MRI, she also has some damage to the medial meniscus, but they won't know until she has surgery.
Martin, who is a freshman on the varsity soccer team, broke his left, great toe. He did this last Tuesday by stubbing his toe on the ground. He didn't even know that it was broken until her got home. Andrew, on the JV team, got a concussion at a game two weeks ago. He has been going through concussion protocol, and finished stage four on Thursday. He will complete stage five today at practice.
Wow, October is going to be a very stressful month. I work once a week for 5 hours, stressing out over small children. Each week there is at least one home soccer game, if not two. On all of these days, I will not be home until after 8:30 that night. I am super excited for the month, however. The boys play Holly Springs, Middle Creek, Fuquay, and Friendship in the next two weeks, all of which are in our conference. Currently, we are fourth in conference, so we really need to win all of our games to earn a home playoff game.
