Soccer season is in full swing. I started my first varsity game, and even played the whole game. We had a pasta party on my house yesterday night. We made 4 boxes of pasta, and there is literally so many leftover noodles. I will be eating pasta for the rest of the week. We have mac and cheese and spaghetti leftover. Our game got canceled today, and as of now we still have a game on Wednesday and Thursday.

This weekend went by so fast. I was upset that it was raining all day, but it's okay. I hung with friends every day and got out of work on Saturday morning due to rain. I went to Smashed Waffles on NC State's campus for the first time and they were so good. I finished my website for Sports Medicine, and I'm surprised on how well it turned out, being that I am not the best with technology.
I am really excited soccer season has started again. There are 5 seniors this year, but 2 of them are out with ACL tears. One of them got surgery in November and the other got surgery this morning. Being able to see the progression from tearing, surgery, and rehab post surgery is really cool. I hate that the 2 girls are out for the season, it leaves us with two less midfielders. Two freshman made the team this year, and I think they are going to replace the two seniors that can't play.
Valentine's Day and soccer tryouts are this week. I am not excited for either one of them. Valentine's day is too cheesy and there is so many gross expectations that go along with it. I don't want to go out for dinner, I don't like cute, romantic things either. Soccer tryouts are always super nerve wracking for me and I don't like feeling anxious. Our team already has two girls out with ACL tears. Our team usually gets a lot of injuries during the season too, so this is going to be a very interesting season.
This weekend was super fun but also extremely long. I had a soccer game at 9:30 on Friday night. We lost like 30 to 1, but at least it was somewhat fun. On Saturday, my friend and I made a blanket fort. We watched movies and ate snacks all day. On Sunday, I did all of my homework and went to the gym. Instead of watching the SuperBowl my friend and I ate ice cream and watched The Office.
This past weekend I went to the University of South Carolina for admitted students day. When I was there I got to visit 4 dorms, all of them were apartment or suite style. I got to go to a meeting for all Exercise Science majors. We got to listen to current students from the program, ranging from freshmen to seniors. As soon as I got back from visiting the campus, I put my deposit down to secure my spot at the school next year.
The first day of the semester was not so fun for me. I had to wake up early for the first time this year to go to first period. My classes are so boring, especially Lifetime Sports. To make up for it, my friend and I went to Chipotle for dinner. I got a chicken quesadilla and it was so so good. Two of my friends were working so I got to see them while I was there.
My sister's recovery is going really well. She goes to physical therapy 2 times a week. Her leg is still locked in the brace completely straight. She can unlock her knee to 70 degrees only when she is driving, and was off of crutches by week one. The rule for standing and walking is 30 minutes weight bearing, then 90 minutes of sitting down.
My sister had ACL surgery this morning. Supposedly everything went great, and she had no meniscus tears. The doctors gave us pictures and I can not wait to look at them.
At wrestling last week, Connor's nose would not stop bleeding. He went through 3 nose plugs and eventually the bleeding stopped. As soon as he started wrestling at the match on Thursday, I was prepared for a nosebleed. It was a good thing too, because not even a minute into the match, his nose started bleeding. Last week, I worked a JV men's basketball practice. Katie and I got to see some of the old players from the soccer team, which we missed so much. However, the boys were not very good at basketball. This Thursday is the men's soccer banquet, and I am looking forward to seeing the team again. The only thing I am not looking forward to is having to wear a dress and heels. I also think that I am presenting my rehabilitation project today.
